Hillel works hard to meet the religious needs of Jewish students during the High Holidays and to make the holidays engaging and meaningful for students away from home. As these holidays generally take place at the beginning of each school year they can cause a significant amount of academic stress, especially on freshmen.
Hillel offers Reform and Conservative services on both Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur, as well as Orthodox services on Rosh Hashanah on Emory's Campus. All services are open to Georgia State students at no charge, but request you sign up in advance. GSU Faculty and members of the Atlanta Jewish community and guests are welcome to purchase tickets to attend services.
Look for Hillel in the Student Center as we celebrate the Holidays handing out our favorite treats such as Apples and Honey, Hamentashens, and Charoset and Matzah!
